Hair salon graphics Window decals vs 3d signs

In an ever changing and ever growing economical market there are always new salons popping up. What is a better way to advertise your salon, with window decals ? Some believe that a three dimensional neon sign may draw more attention. What do you think?

In this blog we will try too look at several areas of interest in the marketing and success of your local hair salon, it has been said that with in the first year of operation over 70% of salons will fail. A great portion of this is due to poor location but a large fault can also be contributed to poor or improper graphics or signage. Your salon must be visible and appealing in order to be successful. Therfore we delve into the world of Hair salon graphics.

As a salon and/or spa owner the first thing you need to take a look at is what clientele are you trying to reach? Is it going to be your average middle class individual whom expects an average salon experience at a reasonable price, or perhaps even the chain salon experience? Perhaps you are targeting the middle upper class clientele that looks for an elevated level of experience, environment and retail as can be found in your local individually owned and slightly more refined salon and/or spa? Or even still are you targeting the upper echelon, upper class individuals that are searching for the new "IT" posh and extremely refined experience were they can be assured that their every whim will be catered too and the salons decadence can only be rivaled by it superior personnel and customer service? These are highly valued questions to consider as a salon owner searches for appropriate advertisement. While you are yet reading i am confident you are beginning to realize how important hair salon graphics and window decals can be. All levels of service and demographic have there place and it is up to each individual proprietor to determine which he or she will shoot for.

#1 Let us first take a look at the more simplistic approach, or the less aggressive for the local smaller salon or small chain. Typically speaking these style salons make use of decal style salon advertisements, usually medium sized and placed in a location that gives optimal coverage in the windows of a waiting area. These style decals or graphics if you will are normally cheaper in price and fairly plain in nature and may even give light description of service, price, and hours of operation in plain view. Also one may choose to list specials and or promotions the same way. This form of advertisement usually draws in you lower to middle class patrons as prices and specials are clearly marked. Many small chains will employ this advertising technique in order to draw in that crowd specifically as they can then provide a less expensive and expedited service in order to optimize salon output, while keeping cost down and therefore maximizing profits.

#2. Now we will take a look at the Middle America class salon. These salons will differ a bit from the type previously discussed in several ways, starting with the target clientele. In these specific salons advertising is directed in a way to draw a more discerning individual with a refined, classier, and more strategically placed advertisement. You will still see some window decals in use as well as the possibility of the introduction of some 3d signage. In most cases the window decals in this scenario will be slightly less descriptive and more discreet in its explanations, as well you may rarely see pricing and service quotation in plain view as this target clientele is slightly less concerned with price and slightly more concerned with the overall experience the salon has to offer. As far as the 3d graphics are concerned, they may be small to moderate and strategically located to draw attention to the storefront.

#3. Lastly we take a look at the posh and more exclusive salons that tend to draw in the upper class patrons, those who honestly dont really care how much but more acurately; "how good is the service". These salons will advertise in a way to draw in this crowd of clientel and typically depend more on reputation than advertising. You will probably notice first an elaborate 3d sign above or adjasent to the storefront letting you know without question what salon you are looking at. then you may notice additional decal style graphics on the door of the salon with the name and the store hours of operation, but you will almost never see advertising for specials, and or accesible price lists for services until you go inside. Once inside the establishment you may notice another large 3d style sign or large decal style lettering with the name or logo of the salon on a visible wall, usually behind the front desk or above a large retail setup. With these style salons you will usually see them invest more money into quality of advertisment over quantity. They follow the motto that "less is more". With the salon and spa bussiness there is always a need for each of these three types of salons in our comunities, so as was said earlier it is to the discression of the salon owner to decidde wich clientele they have in their area, and it is my hope that this blog will help in figureing out how you can attract the bussiness you desire using Hair salon graphics and 3d signs.
